How To Get Rid Of Ants
Removing Ants in the South Texas Region
Ants are the most common insect problem we have in Texas. They are easy to identify by their three segmented body and they are social insects. There is a caste system of workers, soldiers, drones, and queens which makes it difficult to control an infestation if not properly dealt with. Ants typically enter a home in search of water and shelter and that is why they are typically found in the kitchen or bathroom areas but can inhabit other areas of the home. Most homeowners will purchase over-the-counter chemicals and this only kills the foraging ant and not the whole colony. This will “bud” or make another colony and will make controlling the ant even harder. We use baits and other methods to kill the whole colony.
At Bugmobiles, we take care of the root of the problem by using effective treatments that will destroy the nests and colonies of these intruders. Our goal is to make sure they stay gone for good.
How To Prevent Ants
Typically, ants will use your home for shelter and are in search of water but they tend to nest in the walls and are rarely seen. They will enter your home from an exterior wall or break in the foundation. Inspect the perimeter of your home and treat any ant mounds next to the house. If ants are inside your home go undetected, leaving crumbs on the floor, open containers of food and dirty dishes are an open invitation to come out and play. Routine cleaning of dirty dishes, spilled liquids, and old food particularly around pet bowls will help prevent an infestation of ants inside your home. A quarterly pest control service would help keep these pests out of your home.

Fire Ant Guarantee
The Bugmobile’s time tested granular insecticide can guarantee up to 1 year of fire ant control in your yard after correct application and in some cases up to 18 months. Using a “watered in” method that helps spread the product over the treated area. If you see any pest activity after the initial 4 weeks, simply give us a call; we’ll come back at no additional charge.
